Capstone Project: CRF - Community Resource Finder Mobile App

About Me

My name is John Hammond III, but most people call me Trey, which means "The Third". I'm currently an undergraduate student at Mercer University, studying Informatics and IT. My passion for computers and technology started early in life and has only grown stronger over the years. The program at Mercer has given me a solid foundation and the chance to explore this field in meaningful ways. I'm excited about where this journey is taking me—both academically and professionally.

For my INFM480 Capstone Project, I'm designing a mobile app aimed at improving access to public services. This idea is rooted in my desire to serve others and help communities flourish. We live in a time when technology has incredible potential, yet we often fall short of using it to truly benefit people in need. As a Christian, I see this project as a way to live out my faith and reflect the love of Jesus through service. One verse that inspires me is Mark 10:45: "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…"

This project is more than just an academic requirement—it's a reflection of my values, my background, and my hope to make a real difference through technology.
