About Me

I have been a traveler for most of my life and enjoy it somewhat. It's great to get to see different places and enjoy the world. I am currently the Radio Systems Manager for Macon Bibb County.

My grandfather moved to Macon to attend college at Mercer in 1916 and after graduating stayed, teaching high school until he started his own business in the 1940s (his building is now occupied by Ingleside Village Pizza). My father left Macon after my grandfather passed away and never really came back except for a short time when I was little. He later graduated from Mercer in Atlanta.

After six years in the US Army, I moved to Macon to go to college at Mercer (at the new engineering school). When my daughter was born, I began traveling again, working in several different U.S. states and foreign countries. I returned for short time to watch her graduate in 2011 and then off to another destination. My middle son is scheduled to graduate from Mercer in 2019, so I have returned to college for a degree in Informatics.

The company had been my life for the last several years, traveling wherever I am needed to improve over-all system quality. While I enjoyed travel, I am glad to have found local work so I could be close to family.

My five year plan, in my private life, is to be completely debt free and enjoy time with my youngest son, now eleven. In my professional life, using what I learn from informatics, I hope to build the best radio system in central Georgia for the seven counties in that regional.

For my ten year plan, I hope to retire from work, turn the reins of the central Georgia radio systems over to my protege, and enjoy the quite life working in my yard.
